Phoebe is a highly experienced motion capture and performance capture artist, working across games, film, television, immersive VR, and real-time virtual production.

Her work spans full-body motion capture, performance capture (PCAP), facial capture (including FACS-based workflows), volumetric capture (VAX), and previsualisation (previs)—bringing characters to life from early development through to final production.

Phoebe originally trained under Neil Newbon at The Imaginarium, alongside training with Ace Ruele through his company Creature Bionics. This foundation gave her a strong actor-first approach to capture, grounded in physical storytelling, emotional clarity, and technical precision.

She now works extensively within the performance capture industry and is the Creative Lead at Tracked Illusions, a RnD studio specialising in real-time performance capture, puppetry, and immersive experiences.

Selected Career Highlights

  • Previsualisation Performer – “Stevie”
    Phoebe was the previs performer for the character Stevie in a new short film by Framestore, created entirely in Unreal Engine and starring Alba Baptista as part of Fuse Productions.

  • Previs Performance – The Last of Us
    Worked with Framestore on multiple previs sequences, performing for Ellie as well as Clicker infected, contributing to character movement and creature performance.

  • Motion Capture Artist – In Pursuit of Repetitive Beats
    One of two motion capture artists for the multi-award-winning immersive VR experience, which premiered at the National Theatre as part of the BFI Festival 2022. The experience is now touring internationally at film and immersive festivals worldwide.

  • Metaverse Performance Capture – NARS Cosmetics (2022)
    Collaborated with Dimension Studio to help create pioneering metaverse models for NARS, blending fashion, performance capture, and real-time digital identity.

  • Live Motion Capture Performer – Dream (2021)
    Part of the Royal Shakespeare Company’s groundbreaking live motion capture production, produced by the Royal Shakespeare Company, Marshmallow Laser Feast, Audience of the Future, and the Philharmonia Orchestra.
